Live Healthy With Antioxidants!

Antioxidants are molecules which have the capacity to slow down or prevent the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation refers to chemical reaction resulting in electron transfer from any substance to oxidizing agent. Reaction of oxidation creates free radicals which cause chain reaction damaging cells and antioxidants breaks these chain reactions by eradicating free radicals. Low level of antioxidants gives rise to oxidative stress and is harmful for cells.

Antioxidants assist people in living a healthy lifestyle. These are found in abundance in certain foods or either you can take supplements. Apart from taking food containing antioxidants people also prefer to take supplements to make sure that required amount of antioxidants are received. You can choose from variety of herbal or natural supplements. You should also make sure that you are eating healthy to maximize results. Synthetic supplements are not always recommended as they take time to absorb in body and can also have some side effects.

However, the perfect source of getting antioxidant is non-synthetic supplements containing vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin D as it will provide quick results without any bad effect. Include good variety of fruits and vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower in your food. Include variety of berries in your diet such as cranberries, blue berries and bilberries for good health. Another supplement of antioxidant is herb rosemary and you can also include spice of rosemary in preparing food.

Antioxidants assist you in many ways. These are helpful in making quick heal when you are met with an injury. No matter what sort of injury you have, whether a paper cut or bone fracture, it helps in healing within least time. When you are taking required amount of antioxidants in your diet then it benefits you in many ways by keeping your body cells healthy to fight against disease. When you fall ill then antioxidants help you in getting well quickly.
